I am not sure video is the future entirely - but it will be a big part for sure! I like video, I love video, but I do like writing too!

Giles, I am not entirely sure what you mean, but if you want lots of small videos for each entry in a directory, then that will be a time consuming job. Creating loads of videos takes a while, but you will use some sort of template in order to keep a flow and consistency between them all. This will speed things up a little bit. In terms of actually displaying the video on your site, I would advise some sort of flv flash player. I use blip.tv

Great advice from techno gumption as always. Like the way youy guys write. Clear, practical and no b/s. Keep up the good work. Any ideas on software for putting video for retail shops onto a site? Two minutes on where they are, what they sell and what they are good at.
Happy Easter

Mary - I am looking into CozmoTV.

Wisdom - I am doing a big video project at http://www.kitefreestyle.com - We have just launched and done very well. Kiteboarding is my big passion and I have a number of websites in that niche.

Good post on video. I doubt I will ever use it any time soon. What other site are you doing that has video on it? Just curious?

Roll your own Internet TV is possible with CozmoTV - video widgets that broadcast your show (http://www.cozmomedia.com) and a new service by DAVE Networks. Both are opps to make your videos viral and get a share of the ad revenue money. TubeMogul and Caachi are great sites for easily getting your videos and even full length feature films viral on the Web. See Internet TV - there will be blood for more ideas. http://www.demo.com/community/?q=node/19375 Mary Fallon, editor DEMO.com
